It may not be the holiday season anymore, but the gift of better hearing is welcomed year-round.
This past winter, we gave you the opportunity to nominate someone you love to receive a comprehensive hearing assessment and complimentary hearing aids. We asked for nominations of people who deserved hearing care but for some reason couldn’t access it at the time.
Whether it’s due to financial constraints or putting others first, many people can’t access the hearing care they deserve and need. That’s why, especially during the festive season, we want to offer hearing care as a gift for those who need it most.
We were overwhelmed by so many wonderful nominations – and while it was tough to narrow it down to just one winner, we picked someone that my team and I believe is very deserving of the hearing care they were gifted.
Our Winner Is Wilfred!
Wilfred is an existing patient of mine; who has a rare congenital genetic disorder called CHARGE syndrome. Individuals with this disorder experience problems with their senses, including hearing and vison. My team and I were aware that fitting Wilfred with hearing aids could greatly enhance the quality of his life.
He and his mother are wonderful people – I felt that if anyone deserved the winning spot, it would be them.
Wilfred came in for his hearing aid evaluation on March 25 and found out he won the Hear for the Holidays giveaway. He was ecstatic, and his mother had “goosebumps” from disbelief! This year, his insurance changed, and unfortunately it offered no hearing aid benefits and the old ones broke – winning the giveaway was the pathway to a better future for Wilfred.
